300
My friend Joy and I went to the theater last Wednesday to watch the movie. I liked the movie. It was obviously high budgeted film. Based on the article I've read, the movie was shot mostly with bluescreen to produce a comic book-like film and the special effects were mainly handled by about 10 special effects companies for about a year. It was 2005 when 300 started it's production.
The movie was about the 300 Spartan army - led by the Spartan King Leonidas - who fought in the battle against Persian King Xerxes and his over a million army. Showing how the Spartans fought and their skills in hand-to-hand combat was really impressive. Historically wise, I don't really know (honestly speaking) about what really happened. As of now, I will rely on the plot of the movie. Hehehehe. ^_^
Also, the movie featured how Spartan woman greatly influences a Spartan man in his decision making.
One thing that makes me wonder. That is if, monsters like the Immortals (and others) featured in the movie really do exist during those times. For me, the appearance of such monsters makes the movie a fantasy rather than a historical one.
But generally, I really like the movie. It's one of the superb movies I have watched.
^_^
