Inconsistent Consistency
Nothing is constant in this world. Every day, every hour, every minute and every second there is always a difference. There is always change. Being consistent is like being perfect. But there is no such thing as perfect. Then does this also mean that there is no such thing as consistent?
Confused?? And so do I.
One may always use the term "consistent statement" or "consistent output". What if we put into picture the "possibilities"? Isn't it that when you consider possiblities you would be able to formulate multiple statement and outputs? Then how could that be considered as consistent?
Oh my!!! This crap is giving me headache.
I was just wondering why there are some people who want "100% consistency" of your work or of the things you and your team does. We are consistent by submitting our reports regarding what happened the whole night. Does the content of the report need to be consistent as well? There may be tasks/duties that are done everyday by each person. That I could consider as consistent already because it has been a part of the work routine. And you are obliged to do such tasks/duties for continuous work flow. But beyond that routines we won't be able to determine what happens next. Complains, discrepancies, requests, etc. do not happen everyday. So do you still have to put such in your report when these things didn't even occur considering that it happened the previous day just to make your report consistent? I think not.
Now in my own thinking, that is what i consider as inconsistent consistency. Why? Because in the first place, you are already inconsistent with your statements if you include those that never happened at all - just for the sake of your report to be consistent as to what just had happened the previous day.
Vague isn't it? Funny but that is how I understand things in relation with the word "consistent". Been tired hearing that. And I'm tired trying to find ways on how to make things and/or situations "consistent" everyday just for the sake of a consistent report for someone who looks for consistency.
Honestly, I don't even know know if all that I have said made sense. Arrrggghhh...
